Full-resolution WebP artwork with print-safe margins. Review the guidance below before use.

How to use it

  1. Choose any sections you want to use and any you want to keep private.
  2. Draw, write, or add symbols for parts of yourself and your life that you want represented.
  3. Change the shape, add a section, or cover a section if the shield does not fit you.
  4. Share only the parts you choose.

Reflection prompts

  • Which section feels most important today?
  • What part might change over time?
  • What would you like others to understand or respect?

Facilitator guidance

Follow the child's language and do not require family, culture, hopes, or other identity disclosures. Present the shield as a customizable container, not a test or fixed portrait.

Adaptations & accessibility

  • Use collage images or movable symbols.
  • Let the child create a private back side or sealed section.
  • Replace the shield with a circle, room, backpack, or free-form shape.

Review considerations

Standard licensed-clinician and cultural-humility review required before use.

This is a layout-complete draft. Complete the stated clinical, accessibility, and local-policy review before client use or publication.
