Five-Senses Scavenger Hunt
Explore the current environment through any senses that feel comfortable to use.
Clinical review requiredFull-resolution WebP artwork with print-safe margins. Review the guidance below before use.
How to use it
- Choose indoor, outdoor, seated, or your own version.
- Find or draw a few things you can notice with senses that feel comfortable.
- Skip any sense, item, or location and stop if you want.

Reflection prompts
- What was easy or interesting to notice?
- Was there a sense you preferred not to use?
- What part of the environment feels supportive right now?

Facilitator guidance
Preview the environment for safety and sensory load. Do not require all five senses; a four-senses, one-sense, or observation-only version is equally complete.
Adaptations & accessibility
- Use a seated search area or have a partner bring objects into view.
- Offer a low-sensory version with no smell, taste, touch, or sound requirement.
- Use photographs, pointing, or AAC instead of writing.
Review considerations
