Grief Coping Choice Cards
Choose small, realistic options for care, remembrance, connection, practical tasks, rest, or support without pressure to feel better.
Specialist review requiredFull-resolution WebP artwork with print-safe margins. Review the guidance below before use.
How to use it
- Look for one option that feels possible, neutral, or least demanding today.
- Adapt it, ask for help with it, choose to do less, or pass.
- Notice what happened without scoring the feeling or expecting improvement.
- Use the support route when ordinary coping options are not enough or safety cannot wait.

Reflection prompts
- Which option fits your energy and needs today?
- What would tell you that more or different support is needed?

Facilitator guidance
Offer choices without implying that coping resolves grief, prevents difficult feelings, or replaces practical, clinical, cultural, or urgent support. Match cards to age, access, energy, context, and the person's own grief language.
Adaptations & accessibility
- Create low-energy, no-cost, sensory-accessible, and practical-help subsets.
- Use icons, AAC, translated copy, or one-card presentation.
- Add individualized support and access cards after confirming availability.
Review considerations
Enhanced licensed grief-specialist and local-resource review required before use. Clearly distinguish everyday coping from crisis or emergency support; do not include jurisdiction-specific contacts until locally customized.
This is a layout-complete draft. Complete the stated clinical, accessibility, and local-policy review before client use or publication.
