How to use it

  1. Choose a hand, a drawn path, or the wave-and-pebble option.
  2. Trace up and down at a pace that feels comfortable.
  3. If you want, let breathing follow naturally without holding or forcing it.
  4. Pause or stop if you feel dizzy, uncomfortable, or uninterested.

Reflection prompts

  • What pace felt most comfortable?
  • Would you change the movement, the breathing, or the activity next time?

Facilitator guidance

Demonstrate without prescribing a breath count or hold. Do not imply slow breathing is required; prioritize comfort and offer a movement-only option.

Adaptations & accessibility

  • Trace with eye gaze, a pointer, or the opposite hand.
  • Move a pebble along the wave instead of tracing fingers.
  • Use a shorter path or simply watch the facilitator model it.

Review considerations

Standard licensed-clinician review required before use; include mobility and respiratory comfort alternatives.
